Description
The special remover consists of pure reactive substances, supported by selected highly effective organic solvents. Lithofin Resin-EX is in many cases a substitute for environmentally harmful and dangerous cleaners containing chlorinated hydrocarbons (CHCs).
Properties
Lithofin Resin-EX softens many organic substances and contaminants, making them removable. The gel form makes application easier.
Application
For removing epoxy joint mortar and epoxy resin film. Also very suitable for removing organic substances such as resin residues, sealants and coatings, oil and grease deposits, paint (graffiti), concrete paint, adhesives, plastic residues, etc. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
Substrate: All clinker and ceramic surfaces, rough natural stones such as granite, gneiss, quartzite, and concrete and concrete blocks.
Instructions for use
Always test on a small area first. Always apply only to dry surfaces. Protect the surface from moisture during the exposure time, as water reduces the effectiveness.
Application/substrate temperature: +10 to 30°C. The specified exposure time shortens at higher temperatures and lengthens at lower temperatures.
Application on cement-based grout
Apply generously to the dry surface with a brush or scrubber. Exposure time approx. 20–30 min at 20°C. Then pour on water (or better: Lithofin MN Power-Cleaner diluted 1:10) and scrub. Then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water while brushing. Always scrub diagonally across the joints. Rinse the surface again thoroughly with clean water.
Consumption: approx. 5 m²/kg depending on the degree of soiling.
Application on epoxy resin (2-component) joint mortar
Apply generously to the dry surface with a brush or roller. Exposure time: approx. 3 hours at 20°C. Then scrub with a coarse pad (e.g. green pad). Then add water and scrub again. Remove the liquid and rinse thoroughly and immediately.
Consumption: up to approx. 20 m² per liter on glazed tiles.
Note: Not suitable for polished or honed stones containing lime or similar acid-sensitive stones (e.g. marble). Parts sensitive to solvents and acids such as lacquered surfaces, plastics, rubber, etc. must be protected. Avoid contact with plants, rinse thoroughly before and after.
