Preliminary Note
Belgian Blue Limestone, also known as petit granit, is a type of limestone. Its dense structure prevents the usual impregnation-based protection typical for natural stone. For regular maintenance, Lithofin Maintenance Product for Blue Limestone has proven effective for many years. This care is complemented and enhanced by Lithofin MN Protector for Blue Limestone.
Description
A special product for Blue Limestone from the LITHOFIN range. It is a water-based maintenance product containing special, highly effective oil- and water-repellent polymers and additives.
Properties
Lithofin MN Protector for Blue Limestone penetrates into the capillaries and pores of the surface, forming an ultra-thin, invisible film. This reduces absorbency and significantly prevents water, oil, and grease from penetrating and causing stains. Contaminants therefore remain on the surface, where they can easily be wiped off. The appearance of the treated surface is only slightly or not at all altered. This effect lasts for several weeks to months, depending on use.
Application
For the regular treatment of Blue Limestone surfaces. Provides strong protection for kitchen countertops, sinks, windowsills, tables, etc., against stains and makes them easier to maintain. Surfaces can be polished, finely honed, or rough.
Instructions for Use
Shake gently before use. Surfaces must be completely dry, clean, and free of stains. Apply Lithofin MN Protector for Blue Limestone undiluted with a clean cloth, thinly and evenly, and rub in. On first use, repeat the treatment after 20 minutes. Avoid puddles or drops; wipe off immediately if they occur. Do not allow excess product to dry on the surface; within approx. 10 minutes, completely wipe or rub in.
Note: Always test on a small area before first use. A visible darkening of color may occur on many surfaces. Blue Limestone is acid-sensitive; polished surfaces may become dull or show light spots. Does not protect against acid attack. Immediately wipe off splashes of wood, glass, paint, etc., with a (damp) cloth.
Application temperature: +10 to +25°C. Do not apply to heated surfaces. Clean tools with water.
Drying time: approx. 1 hour; fully effective after approx. 48 hours. Do not expose the surface to water or oil during this period.
Coverage: approx. 10 m²/litre on rough, up to 20 m²/litre on polished surfaces.
