Description
A professional LITHOFIN product for natural and artificial stone surfaces.
High-performance impregnation with water- and oil-repellent nano-substances in a polysiloxane-based solution containing solvents.
Properties
Lithofin NanoTOP is very fluid, colorless, ready to use and easy to apply. It protects natural stones from staining and soiling without altering the characteristic appearance of the stone.
Effect: the substances form a very thin film in the capillaries, invisible on the surface. The product helps prevent water, oils, and grease from being absorbed, keeping them on the surface instead.
The substances remain on the surface depending on the type of stone and treatment.
Empirical values: for limestone up to 48 hours, for polished granite on average up to 72 hours, with peak values up to 168 hours (e.g., for Imperial White and Multicolor). During this time, oil can be wiped away without leaving any marks.
Water vapor permeability is largely preserved.
The substances are UV-resistant and do not yellow.
Application Area
For optimal stain protection in the home, makes maintenance of most stone surfaces easier. Particularly suitable for kitchen countertops and other stain-sensitive areas such as tables, counters, window sills, and bathrooms.
Suitable surfaces: granites, gneiss, gabbros, polished or honed and similar types, as well as brushed surfaces.
Note: the sensitivity to acids of limestone and marble is retained. For certain types of stone (e.g., Nero Assoluto, Impala, etc.) with honed or brushed surfaces, noticeable darkening may occur.
Application
The surface must be absorbent, dry, clean, and free of oil, grease, wax, and similar residues. Room temperature should be between 10°C and 25°C. If unfamiliar with the product, test on a small inconspicuous area first.
Apply Lithofin NanoTOP evenly using a clean brush, roller, or cloth. For highly porous surfaces, repeat the procedure after 10 minutes if necessary. Allow to act for 20 minutes.
Important for unpolished surfaces: wipe off all excess product with a dry cloth before it dries. If needed, dampen the cloth slightly with the product and wipe dry. Dried residues on hard polished stone can be removed within 12 hours using a microfiber cloth or white pad.
N.B.: glass, ceramic, and solvent-sensitive surfaces (lacquer, wood, etc.) must be protected. Tools can be cleaned with thinner.
Coverage: Depends on the porosity of the treated material.
Reference values: Polished granites, gneiss: approx. 15 m²/liter
Sawn granite: approx. 10 m²/liter
Brushed surfaces: approx. 6–20 m²/liter
Drying time: approx. 30 minutes. The treated object can be moved after 2 hours. Do not use rubber suction cups. The optimal effect appears only after 5 days.
