Lithofin Rust-Ex

Description 

Mild-alkaline cleaner for removing rust stains and residues of other metal oxides.

Properties 

The reactive ingredients act on rust and convert it into water-soluble substances. The beginning of the reaction is indicated by a violet discoloration. The reaction products can be rinsed off with water. Lithofin Rost-EX can be used selectively on partial areas, as it does not cause visible changes to the surface.

Application 

For removing all types of rust stains. These may be caused by iron-containing fertilizers, iron particles, metal legs of garden furniture, rusty water leakage from heating systems, etc. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Substrate: All clinker and ceramic surfaces, natural stones such as marble, limestone, granite, gneiss, quartzite, concrete, and concrete blocks.

Instructions for use 

Apply the product undiluted generously to the dry surface and spread or lightly scrub with a brush. The violet color indicates the beginning of the action. Allow to work for approx. 5 to max. 10 minutes. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface. Add water and a few drops of Lithofin MN Power-Cleaner (or a small amount of diluted dishwashing liquid), brush and wash off. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Important note: The exposure time must not exceed 10 minutes. If the effect is insufficient, repeat the process several times. Natural rust particles typical of some types of natural stone, as well as pigmented concrete surfaces, may change color when treated with Lithofin Rost-EX.

Important: Always test on a small area first. Do not allow contact with metal, lacquer, wood or other sensitive surfaces. On polished limestone and marble, the surface may become slightly dull if exposed for too long. Any remaining violet discoloration will fade over time.

Coverage: approx. 10 m²/L

Application/substrate temperature: Not below 15°C. If necessary, warm the surface beforehand with a hairdryer.
